Ingredients
- Ground halal pork - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Cheese (optional) - 2 slices
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground halal pork, minced garlic, chopped parsley, finely chopped onion, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the pork patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate pan or under a broiler until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty, and top with tomato slices.
- Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
