Ingredients
- Pork mince - 250 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 teaspoon
- Whole grain burger buns - 2
- Romaine lettuce - 2 leaves
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
- Avocado - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pork mince, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 2 equal patties, making them slightly larger than the buns.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in another skillet or toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a pork patty, tomato slices, red onion, and avocado slices.
- Spread a little extra Dijon mustard on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the assembled burger.
- Serve immediately with a side of fresh salad or baked sweet potato fries.
