Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300g
  • Fresh figs - 4 medium, chopped
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely diced
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh thyme - 1 tsp, chopped
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Almond flour - 50g
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped figs, diced red onion, minced garlic, fresh thyme, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties of equal size.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the romaine leaves.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, and add another lettuce leaf on top for a 'lid'.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Burger de Figue!
