Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300g
- Fresh figs - 4 medium, chopped
- Red onion - 1 small, finely diced
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Fresh thyme - 1 tsp, chopped
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 50g
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped figs, diced red onion, minced garlic, fresh thyme, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties of equal size.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the romaine leaves.
- Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, and add another lettuce leaf on top for a 'lid'.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Burger de Figue!
