- Cauliflower - 300 grams
- Chickpea flour - 50 grams
- Grated cheese (Gruyère or similar) - 50 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg - 1 large
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Pickles - 4 slices
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Cut the cauliflower into florets and steam for about 10 minutes until tender.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the steamed cauliflower with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
- Add chickpea flour, grated cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika to the mashed cauliflower. Mix well until combined.
- Form the mixture into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the cooked patties to a baking sheet and place in the oven for an additional 5 minutes to ensure they are heated through.
- To assemble, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun, add the cauliflower patty, top with tomato slices and pickles, then close with the bun top.
