Ingredients
- Ground beef - 400 grams
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 20 grams
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wraps)
- Sliced cheese (optional) - 2 slices
- Sliced tomato - 1 medium
- Sliced avocado - 1 small
- Mustard (for serving) - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until cooked to your preference.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty (if using) and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute while you prepare your lettuce wraps.
- To assemble, place a beef patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with sliced tomato and avocado, and add mustard to taste. Wrap the lettuce around the filling like a taco and serve immediately.
