Ingredients

  • Ground halal beef - 300 grams
  • Brioche burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Brie cheese - 100 grams
  • Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh arugula - 50 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground halal beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until desired doneness.
  3. During the last minute of cooking, place slices of brie cheese on top of each patty to melt slightly.
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
  5. Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun, then layer with fresh arugula and red onion slices.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, place each patty on top of the arugula and onion, then cover with the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
