Ingredients
- Ground halal beef - 300 grams
- Brioche burger buns - 2 pieces
- Brie cheese - 100 grams
- Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh arugula - 50 grams
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground halal beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place slices of brie cheese on top of each patty to melt slightly.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
- Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun, then layer with fresh arugula and red onion slices.
- Once the patties are cooked, place each patty on top of the arugula and onion, then cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
