- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water and ground flaxseed. Stir and let it sit for about 10 minutes to create a flax egg.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, combine the almond milk, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Sprinkle the yeast over the almond milk mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the flax egg to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
