Ingredients
- Brioche buns - 2
- Ground halal beef - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cheese (optional) - 2 slices
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- BBQ sauce - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed onion and garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
- Form the beef mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of grilling to melt.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the brioche à la viande by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun, followed by tomato slices, lettuce, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious brioche à la viande!
