Ingredients

  • salt cod - 200 grams
  • olive oil - 60 ml
  • garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • heavy cream - 100 ml
  • cauliflower - 200 grams, chopped
  • black pepper - to taste
  • fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. Soak the salt cod in cold water for 24 hours, changing the water 2-3 times to remove excess salt.
  2. After soaking, drain and rinse the cod, then place it in a pot of fresh water and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Remove the cod from the pot, let it cool slightly, then flake it into small pieces, removing any bones.
  4. In a separate pot, steam or boil the chopped cauliflower until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain well.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the flaked cod, steamed cauliflower, minced garlic, heavy cream, and olive oil. Mash together until smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with black pepper to taste and mix in the chopped parsley.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
