- Beef broth - 120 ml
- Red wine (dry) - 60 ml
- Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon, chopped
- Bay leaf - 1

Steps
- Clean the cremini mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them in half if they are large.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the shallot and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Add the beef broth, chopped thyme, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens and the mushrooms absorb the flavors.
- Remove the bay leaf and serve warm, garnished with additional fresh thyme if desired.
