Steps

  1. Rinse the Swiss chard thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or grit, then remove the stems and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet, stirring well to coat the leaves with the oil, garlic, and shallot mixture.
  4. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chard is wilted and tender.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice, mixing well to combine.
  6. If desired, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the sautéed chard before serving.
