Steps
- Rinse the Swiss chard thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or grit, then remove the stems and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet, stirring well to coat the leaves with the oil, garlic, and shallot mixture.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chard is wilted and tender.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice, mixing well to combine.
- If desired, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the sautéed chard before serving.
