Ingredients
- lean ground beef - 250 grams
- goat cheese - 50 grams
- fresh herbs (thyme, parsley) - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- caramelized onions - 100 grams
- arugula - 50 grams
- brioche buns - 2
- olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- salt - 1 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined and form into two patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until cooked to your desired level.
- While the patties are cooking, in a small bowl, mix the goat cheese with the chopped herbs until well combined.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed and add the sliced onions. Cook on low heat until they are soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Toast the brioche buns lightly on another pan or in the oven until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the herbed goat cheese on the bottom half of the bun, placing the beef patty on top, followed by the caramelized onions and a handful of arugula. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with a side salad or sweet potato fries.
