Ingredients
- Zucchini - 2 medium
- Ground chicken - 200 grams
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1, beaten (for sealing)
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Water - for steaming
Steps
- Using a spiralizer, create long strands of zucchini noodles and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, black pepper, cornstarch, and chopped cilantro. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- Take a small portion of the chicken mixture (about 1 tablespoon) and place it in the center of a zucchini noodle strand. Fold the noodle over the filling to form a wonton shape. Use a beaten egg to seal the edges.
- Repeat the process until all the filling is used up. You should have around 12-14 wontons.
- Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Arrange the wontons in the steamer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Steam the wontons for about 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from the steamer and serve hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions and cilantro if desired.
