Ingredients

  • Zucchini - 300 grams, grated
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Cornstarch - 30 grams
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Grate the zucchini and place it in a clean kitchen towel. Squeeze out excess moisture and transfer the grated zucchini to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the finely chopped green onions, minced garlic, flour, cornstarch, egg, salt, black pepper, and sesame oil to the bowl with zucchini. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the pan, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon.
  4. Fry the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  5. Serve warm with soy sauce or chili sauce for dipping.
