- Pork tenderloin - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Shaoxing wine - 1 tablespoon
- Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon (optional)
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
Steps
- Cut the pork tenderloin into 2 cm cubes and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, sesame oil, and chili flakes to create a marinade.
- Add the pork cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to penetrate.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated pork cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
