Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • water - 100 milliliters
  • sesame paste - 50 grams
  • green onions - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons, plus extra for frying
  • sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons
  • white pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the sesame paste, chopped green onions, vegetable oil, white pepper, and sesame seeds to create the filling.
  4. Divide the rested dough into 2 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle (about 20 cm in diameter).
  5. Spread half of the filling mixture evenly over each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Roll each dough circle into a tight log, then coil the log into a spiral shape and flatten gently with your palm.
  7. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat, add a little vegetable oil, and place the flattened dough into the pan.
  8. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the second piece of dough.
  9. Remove from heat, slice into wedges, and serve warm.
