Ingredients
- Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 200g
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Warm water - 120ml
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp
- Carrot, grated - 50g
- Mushrooms, finely chopped - 50g
- Spinach, chopped - 30g
- Tofu, crumbled - 100g
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
- Sesame oil - 1 tsp
- Spring onion, chopped - 1 stalk
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat, then add grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, and spinach. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
- Add crumbled tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, and spring onion to the skillet, and stir well. Cook for 3-4 minutes until heated through, then remove from heat.
- Divide the rested dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each piece into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
- Place a spoonful of the vegetable-tofu filling in the center of each dough circle, then carefully fold the edges over to seal the bun.
- Place the buns in a steamer lined with parchment paper and steam for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve warm with a side of soy sauce for dipping.
