Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour - 150 grams
- Warm water - 75 ml
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Firm tofu - 100 grams, crumbled
- Chinese cabbage - 100 grams, shredded
- Carrot - 1 medium, grated
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, warm water, olive oil, and salt. Knead to form a smooth dough, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Roll out the dough into a circle and press it into a tart pan, trimming any excess.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and sauté the shredded Chinese cabbage, grated carrot, and diced bell pepper for about 5 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the crumbled tofu, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly. Stir in the beaten egg until well combined.
- Pour the vegetable and tofu mixture into the prepared tart crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the tart is golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and sprinkle with sesame seeds before slicing and serving.
