- Ground Halal pork - 250 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Spring onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
- Burger buns - 2
- Cucumber (sliced) - 1/2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground Halal pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped spring onions, sugar, black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix well until fully combined.
- Shape the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly in another skillet or under a broiler.
- Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, adding a lettuce leaf, placing the pork patty on top, and then topping with sliced cucumber.
- Drizzle chili sauce over the cucumbers, then place the top half of the bun on each burger. Serve immediately.
