Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 500 grams
  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Hoisin sauce - 30 ml
  • Honey - 30 grams
  • Rice vinegar - 15 ml
  • Five-spice powder - 5 grams
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 10 grams, minced
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Black pepper - 2 grams
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the pork ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat. Remove the ribs from the marinade, reserving the marinade for basting.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 30-40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes and basting with the reserved marinade until the ribs are caramelized and cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. Cut into individual pieces and garnish with chopped spring onions before serving.
