Ingredients

  • Ground beef (Halal) - 250 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Fermented soybean paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Oil for frying - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with soy sauce, fermented soybean paste, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the vegetables by julienning the cucumber and carrot, and chop the green onions.
  5. Toast the burger buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun, topping with cucumber, carrot, and green onions.
  7. Drizzle a little extra sesame oil on top if desired, then close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.
