- Wheat noodles - 200 grams
- Ground beef (or lamb) - 150 grams
- Fermented soybean paste - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Cucumber - 1 medium, julienned
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 500 ml
Steps
- Cook the wheat noodles according to package instructions in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
- In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef (or lamb) to the pan, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the fermented soybean paste, soy sauce, and sugar, mixing well to combine.
- Pour in 200 ml of water and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly.
- Adjust the seasoning with more soy sauce if necessary, then remove from heat.
- To serve, place a portion of noodles in a bowl, top with the meat sauce, and garnish with julienned cucumber, chopped spring onions, and a drizzle of sesame oil.
