  • warm water - 150 ml
  • active dry yeast - 7 grams
  • sugar - 5 grams
  • salt - 5 grams
  • olive oil - 15 ml
  • ground lamb - 300 grams
  • onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • soy sauce - 15 ml
  • bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • mozzarella cheese - 150 grams, shredded
  • fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. While the dough is rising, heat a pan over medium heat. Add ground lamb, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the lamb is browned.
  5. Stir in cumin, coriander, red chili flakes, and soy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  7. After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle about 25 cm in diameter.
  8. Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the lamb mixture evenly over each pizza base, leaving a small border around the edges.
  9. Top with sliced bell peppers and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
