Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder - 400 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the vegetable oil, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well to ensure each piece is coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. While the lamb is marinating, soak the skewers in water to prevent burning during grilling.
  4. After marinating, thread the lamb cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the lamb is browned and cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving.
