Ingredients
- Lamb shoulder - 400 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon - 1, juiced
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the vegetable oil, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well to ensure each piece is coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
- While the lamb is marinating, soak the skewers in water to prevent burning during grilling.
- After marinating, thread the lamb cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the lamb is browned and cooked through.
- Once cooked, drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with chopped cilantro before serving.
