Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 50 grams, finely grated
  • Spinach - 50 grams, chopped
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water to form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5-10 minutes until elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add minced ginger, chopped shiitake mushrooms, grated carrot, and chopped spinach. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Allow the filling to cool.
  4. After resting, divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle, about 8 cm in diameter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Carefully pinch the edges to seal, creating pleats to form a dumpling.
  6. Prepare a steamer and line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Arrange the dumplings in the steamer, leaving space between each.
  7. Steam the dumplings over boiling water for 10-12 minutes until the dough is translucent and cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with soy sauce or vinegar for dipping.
