Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder - 400 grams
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Cut the pork shoulder into thick slices, about 2 cm each.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, black pepper, sesame oil, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  3. Add the pork slices to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the pork from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Place the pork slices on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
