- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cabbage leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Cauliflower rice - 100 grams (for serving)
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, sesame oil, grated carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Lay out the cabbage leaves and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the pork mixture onto the center of each leaf. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly to form a wonton shape. Repeat with remaining filling.
- In a large skillet, heat a small amount of sesame oil over medium heat. Place the wontons seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Add a splash of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the wontons for an additional 5-7 minutes until fully cooked through.
- While the wontons are cooking, prepare cauliflower rice by lightly sautéing it in a separate pan with a drizzle of sesame oil for about 5 minutes until tender.
- Serve the wontons over a bed of cauliflower rice, garnished with chopped cilantro.
