Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 200 grams
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Coconut aminos - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Cabbage leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
  • Carrot - 1 small, grated
  • Cauliflower rice - 100 grams (for serving)
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, sesame oil, grated carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Lay out the cabbage leaves and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the pork mixture onto the center of each leaf. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly to form a wonton shape. Repeat with remaining filling.
  3. In a large skillet, heat a small amount of sesame oil over medium heat. Place the wontons seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  4. Add a splash of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the wontons for an additional 5-7 minutes until fully cooked through.
  5. While the wontons are cooking, prepare cauliflower rice by lightly sautéing it in a separate pan with a drizzle of sesame oil for about 5 minutes until tender.
  6. Serve the wontons over a bed of cauliflower rice, garnished with chopped cilantro.
