Ingredients
- Wonton wrappers - 12 pieces
- Ground chicken - 150 grams
- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100 grams
- Green onions, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- White pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Baby bok choy, chopped - 1 cup
- Mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 cup
- Cilantro, for garnish - a handful
Steps
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, and press to seal. Bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal, creating a wonton shape.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and baby bok choy, and cook for about 3 minutes.
- Carefully add the wontons to the pot and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
