Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers - 12 pieces
  • Ground chicken - 150 grams
  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100 grams
  • Green onions, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • White pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chicken broth - 4 cups
  • Baby bok choy, chopped - 1 cup
  • Mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 cup
  • Cilantro, for garnish - a handful

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, and press to seal. Bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal, creating a wonton shape.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and baby bok choy, and cook for about 3 minutes.
  4. Carefully add the wontons to the pot and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
