Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers - 12 pieces
  • Ground pork - 150 grams
  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100 grams
  • Green onions, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chicken broth - 750 milliliters
  • Egg noodles - 150 grams
  • Baby bok choy - 2 pieces
  • Coriander leaves, for garnish - a handful

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form the filling.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper over to seal, creating a triangle. Fold the two corners of the triangle towards the center and press to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  3. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a gentle boil over medium heat. Add the wontons and cook for about 5-6 minutes or until they float and are cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add the baby bok choy to the broth and cook for an additional 2 minutes until tender.
  6. To serve, divide the cooked noodles into two bowls. Ladle the broth with wontons and bok choy over the noodles. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
