Ingredients
- Ground chicken - 250 grams
- Wonton wrappers - 8 pieces
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Sriracha sauce - for serving
- Lettuce leaves - 4, for serving
- Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over to form a triangle, pressing to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the wonton burgers (3-4 at a time) and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fried wonton burgers and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- To assemble, place a fried wonton burger on a lettuce leaf, add cucumber slices, and drizzle with mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce. Serve immediately.
