- Beef sirloin - 250 grams, thinly sliced
- Broccoli florets - 200 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 100 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Cooked rice - for serving
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the blanched broccoli to the wok and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the wok, add the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and 100 ml of water. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and adjust to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice.
