Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, golden syrup, lye water, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the red bean paste into two equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions. Roll each piece into a flat disc large enough to wrap around the red bean ball.
- Place a red bean ball in the center of each dough disc and carefully fold the dough around it, sealing the edges. Roll gently to smooth out the shape.
