Ingredients

  • Chow mein noodles - 150 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams
  • Snow peas - 50 grams
  • Green onion - 2, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sesame seeds - for garnish

Steps

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the julienned carrot, sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and snow peas to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the pan, followed by the soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt. Toss everything together to combine well and heat through for another 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onion.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
