- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Black pepper - 2 teaspoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Broccoli - 100 grams, cut into florets
- Carrot - 1 medium, sliced
- Spring onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, mix the cubed tofu with soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the minced garlic and ginger for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and carrot to the pan. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the crispy tofu to the pan, drizzle with sesame oil, and mix gently to combine. Season with salt to taste.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with rice or noodles.
