Ingredients
- Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
- Cabbage, finely chopped - 100 grams
- Carrot, grated - 50 grams
- Mushrooms, finely chopped - 50 grams
- Green onions, finely chopped - 2 stalks
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the vegetable mixture and mix well until combined.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the vegetable filling into the center.
- Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal securely.
- Optionally, you can bring the two outer corners of the triangle together and pinch to create a classic wonton shape.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wonton wrappers and filling.
- To cook, either steam the wontons in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper for about 10 minutes or pan-fry them in a non-stick skillet with a little oil until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
