Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers - 20 pieces
  • Cabbage, finely chopped - 100 grams
  • Carrot, grated - 50 grams
  • Mushrooms, finely chopped - 50 grams
  • Green onions, finely chopped - 2 stalks
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to the vegetable mixture and mix well until combined.
  3. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the vegetable filling into the center.
  4. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal securely.
  5. Optionally, you can bring the two outer corners of the triangle together and pinch to create a classic wonton shape.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining wonton wrappers and filling.
  7. To cook, either steam the wontons in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper for about 10 minutes or pan-fry them in a non-stick skillet with a little oil until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
