- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Warm water - 100 ml
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon (for dough)
- Tofu - 150 grams, crumbled
- Carrot - 1 medium, finely diced
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, finely diced
- Green onion - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cilantro - a handful, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the flour, warm water, and salt to form a dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the crumbled tofu, diced carrot, and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir in chopped green onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Divide the rested dough into two equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a disc (about 1 cm thick).
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each disc for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Once the bread is done, fill each disc with the vegetable mixture. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
