Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Yeast - 5 grams
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Salt - 3 grams
  • Vegetable oil - 10 ml
  • Carrot - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Bell pepper - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Green onion - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Mushrooms - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 15 ml
  • Ginger - 5 grams, minced
  • Garlic - 5 grams, minced
  • Sesame oil - 5 ml
  • Black pepper - 1 gram

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  4. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add ginger and garlic, sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Add the chopped carrots, bell pepper, mushrooms, and green onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
  7. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  8. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 5 mm thick. Cut into 4 squares.
  9. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each square. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling to create a parcel and pinch to seal.
  10. Place the parcels seam side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
