- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Red bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Broccoli - 100 grams, cut into florets
Steps
- Press the firm tofu for 30 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thin strips.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- After marinating, sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu strips and toss gently to coat.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu strips and cook until golden and crispy on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced red bell pepper and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet, add any remaining marinade, and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
