Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 400 grams
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
- Red onion - 1 medium, cut into chunks
- Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
- Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams
- Skewers - 4 (if wooden, soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess water for about 15 minutes, then cut it into 2.5 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even coating.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- While the grill is heating, prepare the vegetables by cutting them into chunks.
- Once the tofu is marinated, thread the tofu and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between tofu and veggies.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the tofu is golden and the vegetables are slightly charred.
- Remove from the grill and serve immediately with extra soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
