Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 250 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, grated
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Chili oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Sauté until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the diced red bell pepper, cucumber, grated carrot, sliced green onions, and chopped cilantro.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chili oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  5. Add the cooled tofu to the vegetable mixture and pour the dressing over it. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.
  6. Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes for enhanced flavors.
