- Firm tofu - 250 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
- Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
- Carrot - 1 medium, grated
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Fresh cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chili oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes, then cut it into cubes.
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat and add the tofu cubes. Sauté until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the diced red bell pepper, cucumber, grated carrot, sliced green onions, and chopped cilantro.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chili oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
- Add the cooled tofu to the vegetable mixture and pour the dressing over it. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.
- Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes for enhanced flavors.
