Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
  • Brown sugar - 50 grams
  • Water - 120 ml
  • Sesame seeds - 30 grams
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls, about 20 grams each.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly in your palm and place a small amount of brown sugar in the center, then wrap the dough around it to seal.
  6. Roll each filled ball in the sesame seeds until well-coated.
  7. Place the sesame balls on the prepared baking tray and brush the tops lightly with melted coconut oil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
