Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams
  • Hoisin sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into thin slices.
  3. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Toss the tofu slices in this mixture until well coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Fry the tofu slices until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  6. Spread 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce evenly over the pizza dough.
  7. Arrange the crispy tofu slices over the hoisin sauce, followed by the sliced cucumber, julienned carrot, and chopped green onions.
  8. Drizzle the remaining hoisin sauce on top and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
