- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, combine lemon juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade, gently toss to coat, and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss gently to coat each piece evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tofu cubes in a single layer and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add sliced bell pepper and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add the tofu back to the skillet along with the remaining marinade, green onions, and red chili flakes. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Plate the dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
