- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Water - 100 ml
- Firm tofu - 150 grams, crumbled
- Carrot - 1 medium, finely diced
- Cabbage - 100 grams, finely shredded
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - for dusting
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water, knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crumbled tofu, diced carrot, shredded cabbage, green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Divide the rested dough into small balls (about 20-25 grams each). Roll each ball into a thin circle on a lightly floured surface.
- Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and pinch the edges tightly to seal.
- Bring a pot of water to boil and steam the dumplings for 15-20 minutes, or until translucent and cooked through. Alternatively, pan-fry them in a non-stick skillet with a little oil until the bottoms are golden brown, then add a few tablespoons of water, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
