Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into chunks
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add tofu cubes and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, toss the bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion with a little soy sauce.
  4. Add cornstarch to the marinated tofu and toss gently to coat each piece.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Thread the fried tofu and vegetables onto the skewers alternately.
  7. Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
