- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
- Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1 small, cut into chunks
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
Steps
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add tofu cubes and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, toss the bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion with a little soy sauce.
- Add cornstarch to the marinated tofu and toss gently to coat each piece.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Thread the fried tofu and vegetables onto the skewers alternately.
- Serve warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
