  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Red chili - 1, sliced (optional)
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 50 milliliters
  • Lime - 1, juiced

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 10 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the vegan fish sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch to create a sauce.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add a splash of sesame oil.
  4. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the cubed tofu to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally.
  6. Stir in the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  7. Pour the sauce over the tofu and vegetables, stirring well to coat, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Remove from heat, add lime juice, and toss in sliced green onions and red chili if using.
  9. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
