Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers - 10 pieces
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, finely chopped
  • Tofu - 150 grams, pressed and crumbled
  • Carrot - 50 grams, finely grated
  • Seaweed (nori) - 1 sheet, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Water - for sealing dumplings

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shiitake mushrooms, crumbled tofu, grated carrot, chopped seaweed, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the filling.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle and seal the edges tightly.
  3. Repeat the process until all the filling is used. Arrange the dumplings on a plate.
  4. Prepare a steamer or a pot with a steaming rack. Bring water to a boil.
  5. Place the dumplings in the steamer, making sure they are not touching each other. Cover and steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
  6. Serve the dumplings hot with a side of soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
