Ingredients

  • Chinese broccoli - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the Chinese broccoli under cold water and trim the ends, then cut the stalks into 5 cm pieces and separate the florets.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the Chinese broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until the stalks are tender but still crisp.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, then sprinkle with red chili flakes if using. Toss everything together for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
