Ingredients

  • Chow Mein Noodles - 200 grams
  • Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Bell Pepper - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Broccoli - 100 grams, cut into small florets
  • Green Onion - 2, chopped
  • Snow Peas - 100 grams
  • Tofu - 150 grams, cubed
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable Broth - 60 milliliters
  • Black Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss the cubed tofu with cornstarch until well coated.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the carrot, bell pepper, broccoli, and snow peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the tofu to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce and vegetable broth. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked chow mein noodles and toss everything together to ensure the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
  8. Season with black pepper and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
