  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, vegetable broth, sugar, rice vinegar, black pepper, and cornstarch dissolved in water to create the braising sauce.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

  5. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and gently stir to combine with the mushrooms.
